About

Harish Acharya Shirur

I teach the Vedas the way they were taught to me: as a living, practical science for how to breathe, eat, love, work and let go — not as museum pieces from an ancient civilisation.

Based in Athani, Karnataka, I share daily practices on social media and go deeper here — through longer writings, 1:1 sessions and live gatherings open to anyone, anywhere.

The path so far

A short version of a long journey

Childhood

Learning at the feet of elders

Raised in a family of temple priests in Athani, Belagavi District, Karnataka — memorising Sanskrit shlokas and helping conduct rituals before sunrise, long before understanding their full meaning.

Early twenties

Formal study of Vedic scriptures & Ayurveda

Years of guided study under traditional teachers (gurus) in Vedic scriptures, Ayurvedic medicine and Vedanta philosophy, alongside a modern university degree.

First posts

Sharing one mantra at a time

What started as short voice notes to friends who had moved abroad became the first public posts — simple explanations of practices most had grown up seeing but never understood.

Today

A global, online sangha

Now teaching daily online — through posts, stories and live satsangs — to a community that spans more than thirty countries and every time zone.

“My teachers never asked me to believe anything. They asked me to practice, and to notice what changed.”
